Automotive Press Shop LED Lighting

Ecopare undertook a full lighting audit of the press shop, die stores, workshops and short term storage areas.  Survey data was used to develop the payback models based on a full photometric analysis of using LED High Bays and LED linear lamps for inspection and detailed work.

The upgrade was undertaken during the annual 2 week shut down and it included:

• Replacement of 190 Sodium High Bays at 22m height with 152 LED High Bays
• Replacement of 122 Twin T8 Fittings with 50 LED High Bays
• 380 Task lights retrofitted with T8 LED tubes
• Lux levels of 300, 500 and 750 lux to meet task requirements

• 21 months Return of investment
• Verified £98,000 per year savings
• 360 tonnes eCO2t reduction
• 10 year warranty on the fittings
