Automotive Paint Shop LED Lighting

Ecopare undertook a full retrofit project to upgrade the Paint Shop to LED lamps and fittings.  New bespoke fittings where designed, manufactured and installed in the Paint Booths to increase lighting levels.  The 6 month project was undertaken both during production and weekends to minimise disruption.

The areas that were upgraded included:

• All spray booths, production decks and inspection lines
• Ambient lighting in walkways, common welfare areas, open areas and over production lines
• Lux levels of 300/500 or 1,200 lux to meet task requirements

• 23 months Return of investment
• 216kWh per hour in energy savings
• 500 tonnes of eCO2 reduction
• Reduction from 15 types of fittings down to 4 types
